Welcome to LinkInvitation, a digital wedding invitation platform operated by Ichiro Global LLC ("we", "us", or "our"), a limited liability company registered in Wyoming, United States, with its registered office at 32 N Gould St, Sheridan, WY 82801, United States. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you visit our website and use our services. Please read this policy carefully. By using LinkInvitation, you consent to the practices described in this policy.
1. Information We Collect
We collect information that you provide directly to us when you create an account, build an invitation, or interact with our services:
- Account Information: Your name, email address, phone number, and password when you register.
- Wedding Details: Bride and groom names, wedding date, venue details, ceremony information, and any other content you include in your invitation.
- Guest Data: Names, email addresses, phone numbers, and RSVP responses of guests you add to your guest list.
- Payment Information: Billing details processed through our payment provider. We do not store credit card numbers on our servers.
- Photos and Media: Images you upload to your invitation, and — if you enable the Guest Gallery — photos and videos uploaded by your guests.
- Usage and Device Data: Information about how you interact with our platform, including page views, features used, browser and device type, approximate location derived from your IP address, and your IP address itself.
- Notification Data: If you enable browser push notifications, the push subscription endpoint issued by your browser so we can deliver those notifications.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect for the following purposes:
- To provide, maintain, and improve our digital invitation services.
- To create and manage your account and process your invitations.
- To send RSVP notifications, reminders, and service-related communications.
- To process payments and send transaction confirmations.
- To determine the currency, pricing, and regional settings shown to you, based on the approximate location derived from your IP address.
- To respond to your inquiries, support requests, and feedback.
- To monitor and analyze usage trends to improve user experience.
- To detect, prevent, and address fraud or technical issues.
3. Data Storage and Security
Your data is stored securely in a PostgreSQL database hosted on DigitalOcean infrastructure. We implement industry-standard security measures to protect your information, including:
- Encrypted data transmission using SSL/TLS protocols.
- Encrypted storage for sensitive data at rest.
- Regular security audits and updates to our infrastructure.
- Access controls limiting data access to authorized personnel only.
While we strive to use commercially acceptable means to protect your personal information, no method of transmission over the Internet or electronic storage is 100% secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security.
4. Third-Party Services
We use trusted third-party services to operate our platform:
- Stripe: For secure payment processing. Stripe handles all credit card and payment data in compliance with PCI-DSS standards. See Stripe's Privacy Policy.
- Resend: For delivering transactional emails such as RSVP notifications and account confirmations. See Resend's Privacy Policy.
- DigitalOcean: For cloud hosting, our database, and object storage of uploaded images and media.
- Cloudflare: For content delivery, network security, and bot protection (Turnstile) on our sign-up and contact forms.
- Google Analytics: For website traffic and funnel analytics. See Google's Privacy Policy.
- Microsoft Clarity: For heatmaps and session replay of interactions on our marketing pages, which helps us diagnose usability problems. See Microsoft's Privacy Statement.
- Meta (Facebook) Pixel and Conversions API: For measuring the performance of our advertising. This includes server-side events; where these contain your email address or phone number, they are irreversibly hashed before transmission. See Meta's Privacy Policy.
- Google Maps Platform: For venue and address lookup when you search for a location in the editor.
- Sentry: For error monitoring and diagnosing crashes.
Except for the advertising and analytics providers described above, these third parties have access to your information only to perform specific tasks on our behalf and are obligated to protect it. We never sell your personal information, and we never share your guest list with advertisers.
Guest-facing invitation pages are deliberately kept free of advertising trackers: the Meta Pixel does not load on public invitation or RSVP pages, so your guests are not tracked for advertising purposes. Our analytics providers (Google Analytics and Microsoft Clarity) do run on those pages so we can measure invitation views and fix display problems.
5. Cookies and Tracking
We use cookies and similar technologies to enhance your experience:
- Essential Cookies: Required for authentication, session management, and security. These cannot be disabled without breaking the Service.
- Analytics Cookies: Set by Google Analytics and Microsoft Clarity to measure page views, funnel completion, and interaction patterns so we can improve the product.
- Advertising Cookies: Set by the Meta (Facebook) Pixel to measure whether our advertising leads to sign-ups and purchases, and to build advertising audiences. These do not load on public invitation or RSVP pages.
We do not sell your personal information to third parties. We do use the advertising and analytics cookies described above, which means Meta, Google, and Microsoft receive data about your visit and may combine it with data they already hold about you.
You can limit this at any time: most browsers let you block or delete cookies, and you can opt out of Google Analytics with Google's opt-out browser add-on and manage Meta ad tracking in your Facebook ad preferences. Blocking non-essential cookies does not affect your ability to create or share an invitation.
6. Your Rights
You have the following rights regarding your personal data:
- Access: Request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
- Correction: Request correction of any inaccurate or incomplete data.
- Deletion: Request deletion of your account and all associated data.
- Export: Request an export of your data in a portable format.
- Withdraw Consent: Withdraw your consent for data processing at any time by contacting us.
To exercise any of these rights, please contact us at hello@linkinvitation.com. We will respond to your request within 30 days.
7. International Data Transfers
Ichiro Global LLC is established in the United States, and our hosting, storage, email, payment, and analytics providers operate data centres in the United States, the European Union, and Asia. This means your information — and the guest data you add to your guest list — may be transferred to, stored in, and processed in countries other than your own, including countries whose data protection laws differ from those of your home country. By using the Service, you consent to these transfers. We take reasonable steps to ensure your data receives an adequate level of protection wherever it is processed, including by using established providers that offer standard contractual clauses for international transfers.
8. Guest Data and Your Responsibilities
When you add guests to your guest list, you are providing us with other people's personal information. You are responsible for ensuring you have a lawful basis to share those details with us and to invite those guests. We process guest data on your behalf and solely to operate the Service — we do not use it for our own marketing, and we never sell it. If a guest asks us to remove their data, we will notify you and action the request.
9. Data Retention
We retain your personal data and invitation content for the duration of your active account. After your wedding date, we retain your data for an additional 6 months to allow you to access your guest list, RSVP data, and invitation analytics. After this retention period, your data will be permanently deleted unless you request an extension or export your data beforehand. You may request early deletion of your data at any time.
10. Children's Privacy
LinkInvitation is intended for users who are at least 18 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 18. If we become aware that we have collected data from a child under 18, we will take steps to delete that information promptly. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us at hello@linkinvitation.com.
11. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any material changes by posting the new policy on this page and updating the "Last updated" date. We encourage you to review this Privacy Policy periodically for any changes. Continued use of our services after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
