WhatsApp wedding invitations: one link per guest
If your guests are on WhatsApp, this is the shortest route to them. Add your guest list, write the message once, and send. Each guest receives their own invitation link, with their name on it.
No app for anyone to install. The invitation opens in the browser on any phone. You can see who has opened theirs, and RSVPs land in your dashboard as they come in.
How the bulk send works
Add your guest list
Add guests with their names and WhatsApp numbers. You can group them by side, by category, or by which events they are invited to.
Write the message once
Compose the WhatsApp message that goes out with the invitation. You write it once; tokens fill in the parts that change from guest to guest.
Send
The system generates a personal invitation link for every guest and sends the message to each of them. No forwarding, no group chat, no one wondering whether the invitation was meant for them.
Guests invited to some events but not all — assign guests to individual events, so someone invited only to the reception sees the reception. One invitation holds several events, each with its own map and timeline.
Why not just use a broadcast list
You can send a wedding invitation by hand on WhatsApp. Plenty of couples do. Here is what changes when you do it that way.
- One message for everyone. A broadcast sends the same words to every contact. There is no “Dear Amara and Nuwan” unless you retype it, and no way to invite one group to the ceremony and another to the reception without splitting your list up manually.
- One link for everyone. A single link shared with two hundred people is the same link for all of them. With a personal link per guest, the invitation knows who is opening it, and their RSVP is already attached to their name.
- No record of who has seen it. Two ticks tell you a message arrived. They do not tell you whether anyone opened the invitation. The dashboard shows opens per guest, so you know who to follow up with.
- The admin. Copying names and links between a spreadsheet and a chat window, two hundred times, is where the evening goes.
If your guest list is twenty people, a broadcast list is fine. It is the long lists, and the lists with several events, where this starts to matter.
Message tokens
Tokens are placeholders you drop into your WhatsApp message. Each guest receives the version filled in for them: guest name, couple, events, date.

The message is yours to edit. Write it warmly, write it formally, write it in whichever language your family uses. The invitation text is not limited to English, and you can mix scripts on one invitation — tell us the script you need and we will confirm it renders.
The builder and the templates are in English at launch. The words on your invitation are not limited to English.
Seeing who has opened theirs
Because every guest has their own link, the dashboard shows opens guest by guest rather than one number for the whole list. You can see who has opened, who has not, and who has replied.
Open tracking is included. There is no upgrade to buy for it, and no guest-count band that unlocks it.
We should be straightforward about this: per-guest open tracking is not unique to us. Evite, Paperless Post and Greenvelope all offer a version of it. What is different here is that the tracking follows a personal link sent on WhatsApp — and both Evite and Paperless Post note their own tracking does not cover invitations sent as a shared link.
Alongside opens, the RSVP dashboard collects attendance, per-event responses and dietary requirements as guests reply, and you can approve responses before they are counted.
We do not publish open rates or response-time figures for our own product, because we have not measured them. When we have, we will say so and show the numbers.

Do my guests need to install anything?
No. The invitation opens in the browser on any phone. Nothing to download, no account to create.
Do my guests need WhatsApp?
To receive it by WhatsApp, yes. The invitation itself is a web link, so it opens on any phone and can be shared another way if a particular guest does not use WhatsApp.
Can I send to guests in other countries?
Yes. The invitation goes to a WhatsApp number, so a guest abroad is reached the same way as one at home.
Can I write the message myself?
Yes. You write the message that goes out, and use tokens for the parts that change per guest.
Can I send the invitation in another language?

Can I change the invitation after I have sent it?
Yes. Guests keep the same link, so there is nothing to resend.
